one more kids' video....please review

As promised in my previous post....adding another unprofessionally-done video here - But hoping the forum will take a look and critique for her....just turned 17

Watch her drag foot. She is digging a trench. This is slowing her down considerably. Do you see her dig the dirt out and then, when she goes back to the pitcher's plate, she tries to fix the area? I want my pitchers to have rhythm and balance and the glide, so to speak.

Her right foot kicks so far behind her and so far off the power line, that I would have drag bunters hit to her glove side.

She can fix this, by constantly working in front of a mirror or window, with a reflection. Keep everything in line, above the power line as much as possible.

I like a lot about this young lady. I wish I was there to catch her. Amy in Tucson.

ah, the trench !

SHe does dig quite a trench...and maybe the mirror will help her SEE it better. What about her push-off? enough ?

That is part of the problem, there is no push off happening in either video. She is taking a long stride and her forward momentum is carrying her forward. That is what is pulling her pivot foot off the rubber, not any push off effort. Her pivot foot immediatly goes to the side, not forward.

You need to extend her stride to force her to push off.

She started really working on her pushoff yesterday and she started having more fluidity already. Poor thing, her right quad is going to be sore today !
