She's a year older than my DD, they played in the same circles in high school. My DD turns 30 this year.----Geez, I'm OLD!!!!!!!!

I would love to see her coaching under Connie Clark. May not happen but I know Texas has always tried to take care of their former star athletes.

Back when Cat was first coming up, her father Gary used to post occasionally to the old Fastpitch Forum that this one is based on. She was an unknown outside of Texas when he first started, but we all got to know her pretty quickly. It was fun to hear his perspective, especially when she faced Team USA and later became a member of it. It was also a good reminder that at the end of the day she was still just another kid playing softball, with all the same concerns on and off the field.
