I don't remember what it was called but I believe the coach that told me about it said the name of the swing began with a T . A top SEC school is using this new swing that focuses on the upper half initiation of the swing instead of lower half.

Was it THT?

As Chris suggested, this sounds like THT (Top Hand Torque) which is a term coined by Mankin to describe what MLB hitters do to develop early bat speed. If it's taught correctly, IMO it would be good news for the game of fastpitch.
