Nervous Mom - First Tournament at 16U A

I'm not trying to raise your anxiety level, but I see a few red flags. If a 14U team doe not get enough players to field a team at 14U, that is a problem. Were they a legitimate 14A team to begin with? Why couldn't they fill out their roster? Was it pitching they lacked or just bodies interested in playing for them? If there was a lack of interest, WHY?? Did they just "hope" to be an A level team and are now stuck trying to compete at 16U? How good are the few 16U players you added? Are they A players or are they 16U players who were left over from other teams' tryouts? Too many questions, too many red flags.

I'm trying to picture an actual A 16U team having a spot for a relatively weak 14U rec player. That seems odd.
