Need help making a GIF from YouTube video

GIF masters: I need help converting one section of a YouTube video to a GIF. I'd like a clip of the fundamentals/footwork of this coach doing the outfield reverse pivot. Can anyone help me out?

I just figured out how to do this a few weeks ago. These are links to the software I use.

link 1 is a youtube downloader that will save the movie locally.

oops- forgot a step. also download Kinovea (just google it) it lets you take a movie and save it as a series of pictures. Then you put the pictures in photoscape to turn them into a gif.

There are a bunch of different ways to do this, I tried a lot of them but I liked the control that saving to images and then making the gif gave me as opposed to the programs tat convert directly from movie to gif.
