The one piece Cat 8 is way better than the Cat 8 connect. I don’t know why, but the stiffer baseball bats seem to perform better.

Meta’s are about 1/4 ounce overweight. Swing lighter than a ghost, think Demarini. Weird sound. No feedback. My daughter still wouldn’t give up her PC. My rep just hooked me up with some more Demos. I will have team feedback this week

Looks and feels like the thinner Lizard Skin options. Branded Louisville though. The end cap is pretty sweet as well.

I was told $450 retail. But don’t pay retail, I’m sure most dealers will be able to offer better pricing.

Yeah, the Mantra was supposed to kill the Ghost. Didn't happen. I'm doubtful here as well.

What might be a Ghost Killer?

The new Ghost Advanced coming out next year. I'll be in line for one of those. Love all our Ghosts, have high hopes for the next one.

Yeah I am a true Ghost believer but that being said, I would love to see a bat with the pop of the Ghost have the durability of the LS/Demarinis. So I was intrigued by the Meta. while a definitely different bat it is not showing the pop of the ghost and yes, like the mantra it will fall flat in that regard.

What will be interesting is to see how many other bat users will switch. I see this definitely taking from Demarini as the majority of that line uses it for feel (light/balanced) but definitely those users give up performance. So I definitely see this converting a number of the Demarini users as it has better performance while be a lighter bat feeling balance.

The one that will be interesting is what Louisville slugger girls are going to do. With the xeno going away this bat has a much different feel that almost would require a drop 10 girl to go to a drop 9 or 8 in the Meta to get the same feel. Where as it is similar balance to LXT but feels and sounds different so difficult seeing it converting too many LXT users.

I too can not wait until January and the new 2022 ghost advance. Pictures show similarities to the current GA so will be interesting to see what new tech it has and if it can keep the same top end performance while becoming more durable
