Hello,
I am looking for advice on getting a new bat for my daughter. She is about 4' 9" and 120lbs. She currently has a CF4 bat but I think it is losing its pop. It seems that when we are doing BP or live hitting the bat has now started to hurt her hand like it is dead when she contacts the ball. Maybe it is not the bat but any help would be great. Also what are the hot bats on the market today. Thanks in advance for the help.

Louisville Slugger tpx xeno or a 04/05 rocketech are very hot bats. My girl has a 05 and a 2012 rocketech and the difference is unbelievable. I've seen some absolute missiles hit off a xeno though. Maybe next year for dd.

Dd has a '05 rocketech and an '11 xeno. Since we have been outside the last few weeks for bp, I asked her last week "do you think one of your bats is hotter?". She said " the xeno.....definately". I agreed 100%.

She hit 2012 easton stealth speed and a synergy speed yesterday. She said "the stealth looks cool, but I wouldn't trade my xeno for it."

I will tell you the secret to buying a Xeno......get the 2011 model off Ebay or a clearance sale. The only difference between the 2011 and 2012 is the paint scheme. You can find them for @ $160-180, which is a lot cheaper than the $299 retail price tag for a 2012 model. My DD had one and something came loose in the end (rattled when shaken), I sent it back to Louisville Slugger under warranty and they sent me a 2012 as a replacement - SSSWWWEEEEEETTT!

If you are talking USSA most 2012 xeno don't have the new sticker, we just got a replacement for a broken 2012 and it has the new stamp the old 2012 did not. As far as I know no they are the only one with this dumb rule!

They started putting the new stamp on the ones made in the last 3 weeks or so. Also, the rule has been updated, you don't need the new stamp until 9/1/2013.
Dd's 2011 xeno (new in wrapper) cost us $150.

Next bat will be an ounce heavier xeno, and what ever we can find the best price on, stamp or not.

Also, hate to say it, but we have played prob 100 u trip tourneys, never had an ump look at any piece of equipment. BIG dif from some of the ASA we have played with umps listening for a sand pebble in bats, and playing tug of war with helmets trying to get some play in the face guard.
