Hello. My daughter is primarily a catcher but will play some 1st base, so I am not really familiar with good 1st base mitts. She's getting some hand sting in her current mitt. 14u.

If you can find one, the Worth Liberty Advanced is a very good mitt. Rawlings has brought the line under their brand name now, and bumped the price.

Another excellent option would be a Vinci. Talk to DFP'er Drakemir for the best deal.

A mid-level option would be something like the Mizuno MVP-series.

Also, don't count out "baseball" models. They work just fine.

Did not know that about baseball models. I need to talk to Drakemir about a catchers mitt anyway. Someone once told me they didn't like the Vinci 1st base mitts as much as the catchers mitts so that's why I wasn't thinking Vinci. Thanks for the advice! I'll go look for a Worth.

Well, one thing I can say about the Vinci 1st base gloves, is that after it is broke in you won't feel any hand sting :)
