10U need to teach kids to get into habit of running to 1st on third strike swing regardless of situation - I'll scream for them to run so they get into habit and learn regardless of situation - it's not intent to confuse - catchers need to know when to throw and when not to and at that age most coaches are telling catcher what to do on next pitch anyways as they are learning too - higher divisions you shouldn't need to yell as runners and catchers should know

Defense is responsible for knowing the situation and making the appropriate play which is not on the batter who is already out. Now, nfhs says the same thing with the addition of if the umpire believes it is being done on purpose they can issue a warning to team and next infraction coach is ejected and player restricted to bench.
