Is there a benefit to changing balls in Slow Pitch?

Then dont play coed where they switch then...done. Dont you think a bunch of awesome hitters shouldnt
have an issue squaring up an 11" ball? And there are other issues if you think the 11" doesnt hit wayyy
farther than the 12".

But thats gonna be tough if you wanna play any "real" coed because states, nationals, worlds
all use the smaller ball for girls. That should tell you something right there.

I've been playing slowpitch, men's and coed, for 26 years. During that time, we have always used the smaller size for girls. The increased throwing speed is not nearly great enough to negate the added exit speed and distance of the smaller ball. I would also estimate that the smaller ball adds around 25% more distance over a 52 cor 12" ball.
