We have two seniors, both are co-captains. Neither play travel ball but both could, I would said they both are around B+ in their skill level. Both of these young ladies are just awesome, great work ethic, great attitudes, and just fun to be around. Their roles are to mainly chose sides in practice drills, they alternate each day on which one gets to choose first. We do a lot of scrimmage type practices with a point system, the HC makes everything a competition between the girls. They get to choose and speak out in practice but they would never ever get to choose who plays where in a game!
We could do without the whole captain role thing but the HC just wanted to make them both "leaders" for their senior season. Seems to be working pretty well. Both of our travel players (a 9th & 10th grader) like it and both look up to both of those seniors, like I said, great girls!
