Jake drove down on Friday from SC to spend some time watching our TB team and Chipola play the following day. TB team played very well against a local JUCO that has 3 TB alumni. Came up short losing 2 - 4 but turned things around and put a major beat down on another TB team. We then Traveled 100 miles to the North to watch Chipola play Embry Riddle University in Daytona. Two of Jakes Chipola teammates from their National Championship team now play for Embry Riddle. Chipola lost the first game 1-5 but then came back to win the second game 3-2. However the highlight of the day was after the last game when I introduced Jake to Embry Riddle coach Kelsi Dunne. Coach Dunne told Jake she had followed her last season at SC and remarked that she had a really great riseball. Considering the source that was quite an accolade. Their conversation continued for quite a while. It was surreal to sit back and listen to my DD and an SEC pitching legend from Alabama talk about their experiences playing the game.
