I think DD was using a Jenny Finch glove at that age, about $25. It comes broke in already and is not a long term glove but it worked out very well for DD.

My 9 year old likes THIS GLOVE. It is cut smaller/fits "youth" hands and is pretty much game ready from the get go. Best of all it doesn't contain any pink on it which my DD despises (that manufacturers for youth softball gear seem to all put pink on it
) . It comes in 11.5" or 12". It's pretty soft so it was easy for her to close it right away and will at least last one travel ball season.

When DD switched from the Jenny Finch glove my guidelines from DD was anything but pink.
