I used to live in Texas 8-9 years. Those look like what they call is sand bass...

Straightleg, you must have lived close to Dallas. I grew up on the north side of Dallas and we called them Sand Bass, I live in east Texas now and they don't know what a sand bass is, they only no them as White Bass.
