The question is about what is more effective: a home run hitter or a batter who sees the ball and hit it between the gaps? DD school ball team is filled with home run hitters...6 different girls had hit a home run this season. They are one of the top teams in the state. DD isn't one of these home run girls. Instead, she hit between the gaps, move runners and get on base. As a result, she is at the bottom of the batting order when she does get to bat. My question and the one I have debated with DH, Do we work on getting a more powerful swing? DH says her swing is fine and not everyone will be hitting home runs. My opinion is why settle when you can make improvement in DD swing.
DD led her team in batting average and on base.(parental bragging part)
