DD Made A Step Up This Week

Back story: DD's schedule hasn't allowed for her to see her pitching coach very often (well not at all lately). Luckily, her secondary pitching coach (Rachel Fox) was back in town and texted to see if she could get together with DD while in town.

Rachel showed her a few motion things last week that I think made a difference. Her velocity is usually around 51/52 on the RevFire and 53/54 with the radar. Over the last week I've noticed it a little harder to catch DD's pitching so I broke out the RevFire just to see if my eyes and hand were telling me the truth. Sure enough she is showing 54-56 on the RevFire with anywhere between 19-22 on the spin rate over the last couple of days. This put a smile on her face.

Good to see results from work.

That is a HUGE jump! I think that would put a smile on anyone's face.

I think maybe she had improved slightly on her own by getting comfortable with the new motion prior to Rachel's help. By slightly, I mean maybe a mph or two at best.
The difference after seeing Rachel is very obvious to me.
