DD is a drop 10 - 12 on her four seam speed and a drop 8 - 10 on her two seam speed. 25 is pretty extreme for a pitcher in the mid 50s. If I saw that in a game I would tell my batters to watch arm speed and then turn and crank the pitch. No way a back hand change is coming off at that speed unless her arm rotation is slower.

RobD: The change up should not be more than about 20% slower than her faster breaking pitches. The idea is to fool the batters with a consistant motion but have the ball move slower by a little bit. Too much of a difference and batters can double pump the bat and hit it hard. I have seen it more than a few times in Div. I where the batter will hit it out of the park on a change that hangs too long.
