Can't have "force" without energy!!!

You're confused. There are two formulas; one for force which is F = ma, (mass times acceleration)
and another for kinetic energy or E = .5mv^2
one half times mass time velocity squared

The energy is what is within the moving object and the force is what is applied when that energy hits something, or the amount needed to move something. Either way, you are correct that the velocity or acceleration is more important with a swing of a bat.
