Bat weight and length advice

My daughter made it on a 18u team although she hasnt played in year and a half. She injured her right knee but opted to not have surgery.

Anyways shes a small girl 5' 2" and 105 lbs. Shes quite very fast and quite strong. She has never played 16u and has only played 14u tourney ball so jumping to 18u may be overwhelming for her. BTW she's a right and gap hitter.

Anyways shes swinging a 32/22 Miken Freak Black.
She I be moving her up in weight and or length?
Drop 9 or up to a 33/23 -10?
What do you think about a demarini slapper?

She has very quick hands and can often pull the ball down the line. Honestly, I am very surprised she made it on this team. I was worried that a 22oz bat may be too light at this level. Just want to give her any advantage.
1st tourney for her next weekend.

What does everyone think?
Must ask the experts!

Thanks in advance.

I think a 22 is fine. Get her a 33/22. The 18u pitching should be pretty quick so a lighter bat might be good. My DD is 5'9" and around 150 14u and swings a 33/22 Easton Mako 16' and a 33/23 Easton Ghost. Before we got the Ghost she had a 33/23 CF5 (still have it) and the -11 is for faster pitchers. JMO

I was wondering if a 22 oz. bat is too light for these faster pitchers. I was thinking about a -11 drop
She was constantly pulling the ball off our #1 pitcher in practice.
Thanks

a 33" -11 drop is 22oz. I would stick with a balanced bat which is -10 but at 5'2" I am not sure I would put her in 33inch bat quite yet. My DD is 5'10" and we just moved up to a 34" last spring. With that said I would have to see your DD in action. Before you move up in size have her hit with her teammates bats to give her a feel for what she can handle and how the ball feels coming off the bat. Good luck.

My dd is 5'1" about 115lbs also swings a 32/22 mf black. She played varsity last year and that bat is fine for any level. That said once that bat goes i will prbly move her to a 32/23 bat. Her friend has a 33/23 which she has swung and her swing seemed slow. My dd hit a couple hr's withe her mfb.

BTW how does your daughter like her Ghost?

So far she likes it. I'm ready for select ball to start and we see better pitching. She hasn't seen too many pitches to hit in middle school ball. It's frustrating! The pitches she has seen and hit the ball the bat does has lots of pop.
