Anyone have a DD that swings the new Rocketech (Alloy)? DD (12U) took some swings with a 33/24 and loves the way it felt. I believe that size was a little big and will try to find a 32/23 to see if she like it as well.
Any feedback on the bat from first hand experience? Currently using a Ghost and it looks like it may be developing some cracks, so we will be in the market for a replacement soon.

I honestly can’t help you with any new RT information, but I’d love to hear some great news or reviews on the new ones. Today at work I put a new Lizard Skin on an older 33” Rocketech.

How big is your DD, I honestly can’t imagine a 12U girl even toying around with a 33” Rocketech! My 33” feels like a tree trunk!

Edit: I re-gripped that RT to use for practice with my new 10U team.....face masks and ballistic vests for every kid on that team!

Picked up a demo Rocketech this afternoon. Hope to get some EV readings this weekend and will compare it to the Ghost
Rocketech 32/23 - 25.10 oz
Current bat - Ghost 32/21 - 22.35 oz

That's essentially a drop 8. That's too much bat for most college girls, can't imagine a 12u kid swinging it
Haven’t ever weighed my older 33” RT, but I’d bet good money it’s easily 25+ oz.

Need to weigh it, honestly wouldn’t doubt it‘s 26.5/27 oz.

Anna had a 30/21 RT in 12U, but a 33”.....no way!

Right Here For Now
The difference is, RT's swing to the weight they say. In other words, a 33/ -10 Rocketech will swing like any other truly end-loaded 33/-10 bat even though it may weigh several ounces more. The end weight is offset by the super-dense/heavy bat knob thus putting far more mass behind the ball than traditional bats. This is the reason that the RT, in the right hitter's hands, can come close to rivaling even the hottest composites today.

My now 18 year old swung the cutest little 2007 30” RT when she started 10u softball. It was an awesome bat for her. I was a new softball dad and paid full retail for it, not knowing that at the time you could buy them brand new all over EBay for $99.

I’m on the road but I’ll weigh it when I get home. I bet it’s 23 oz or more.

I coached rec with a guy that was always ragging me about getting her a composite bat. One day he grabbed her ‘lil RT to hit fly balls and launched the first ball over the 8 and 9 year olds heads, over the fence and into the Jones’s backyard patio. He looked at me, eyes the size of saucers and said “That’s a good bat!” Lol

RT's are really good bats! Living in ND we use it alot for spring when the temps are cold and for lots of cage work. I would say if your DD barrels the ball up well there are little issues. It does NOT have the biggest sweet spot in the game, but has plenty of pop in any temp. DD has several years of them, back to the RocketFlex, which by the way still hits nukes!! Been using a 34 inch since she was 12.

Results of backyard testing
Hitting 31/21 Xeno, 32/21 Ghost (DS) and 32/23 Rocketech
5 swings with the RT to get loose then 5 swings each starting with Xeno, Ghost and RT then reversed RT, Ghost, Xeno
Readings from Pocket Radar (EV) and Blast (Swing Speed)
EV (avg)
Rocketech = 58.8
Ghost = 56.5
Xeno = 56.1

Swing (avg)
Xeno = 50.93
Ghost = 49.8
RT = 42.99

Not sure what it all means, but will probably end up with a RT in the bag for cold weather.
