Our organization has purchased a number of Ghost. The athletes have broken several and have had them replaced. In one instance a player broke her replacement which was replaced. Several of the recently replacement 34 in. Ghost bats do not seem to have them same sound or pop the former bat had. In fact a bat we had replace just a few days ago also appears to sound and swing somewhat differently then the original bat. Has any one else experienced any issues with the new Easton Ghost? We have given the original and the replacement bats the same amount of break-in periods. All thoughts are appreciated.

If my DD breaks her Ghost. will Easton send a replacement bat before receiving the returned broken bat? I just know being north of the border it can take sometime with customs ... and all that BS.

Depends, there may be a place up North that handles returns or does something else as other manufacturers have as well. I would seriously doubt Easton would send you a return
if its gonna take weeks to get a bat back. They do it for people down here if needed. That's why I think they probably have a Canadian place that does returns.

I'm surprised with the actual weights of the drop 11's
Ghost 33/22 ASA (2018)............AW 23.3 oz
Ghost 31/20 ASA (2018)............AW 21.4 - 21.5
They are coming in anywhere from 1.3 to 1.5 over sticker!

In comparison to the drop 10 which is .3 to .9 over sticker
Ghost 32/22 ASA (2018)............AW 22.3 - 22.9 oz

Seems like the drop 11 is just a new model number with the same drop (actual weight) as the drop 10??

One reason of many to not go down the -11 road.

One reason of many to not go down the -11 road.

The drop 11 would be better suited for some hitters. There are good reasons for going down that road as well. For instance, My DD would do better with a drop 11 over a drop 10. But in this case, it doesn't seem like hardly any difference at all. Of course I am assuming the sample size is very small for the drop 11 right now in Eric's DB. I'd imagine the numbers will make more sense as more drop 11's come in

In general, most drop 11s aren't close to weight for any bat besides the Sprite.

As I said before, probably why Rawlings just doesn't even do a drop11

If the bat is sized correctly for length, there wouldn’t be hardly any difference at all, even if there WAS an ounce of difference. Which there apparently isn’t. Too many inches, worth worrying about. End loaded vs. balanced can keep me up at night. But one ounce? Nah.....
