The Rawlings balls are rebranded Worth Dream Seam balls. They have a cork core and will break down fairly quickly if used for batting practice, especially if they get put through a pitching machine. They are great for pitching, throwing, and fielding, though. Very easy to grip.
The Dudley Thunder Heat balls have a polymer core and last much longer for batting practice. All balls break down eventually, but these and MacGregor X100 balls seem to last the longest.

I have a bucket of MacGregor's that are 11" balls. They have held up really well for what I paid for them 3 years ago. I figure as DD gets older balls will stop lasting as long and that's fine. I think after this set she will know what she likes better and that will be the route I go. Thank you for the knowledge on the balls!
