went to a tournament a few weekends ago in Harrisburg. Pretty good tournament. could have been more shade though. Also, you had to walk over this massive hill to go to the bathroom. And with all the teams being there, there wasn't much warm up space. But it was ran very well.

Our team also played in a tournamnet in Harrisburg (6-19, 6-20) with a big hill to climb to go to the Port-a-Potties. It was a well run event. The Monday before the tournament, we were contacted by the director informing us that we would have to play up an age group (12-U to 14-U) in order to qualify for ASA Eastern Nations in Virginia. We did not tell our girls about the age difference until the tournamnet was over. When our players and their parents said that our opponents looked bigger than our girls, we told them that they grow them bigger in the Central PA farmlands (We are from the Philadelphia area). We finshed third overall and each girl received a medal for this. The umpires were professional, and in the games we played, did a great job overall. Also, the fields were very good. The tournamnet director and the head umpire personally groomed/lined the fields after each game. There was only 1 tree for shade. We shared this shade tree with another team and had a great time. The only drawback was that darned hill to get to the port-a potties.

wait a second.....i think i was on the team that you shared the tree with! we had blue uniforms on. The team we shared the tree with had red uniforms on, and we played them our second game on Saturday. And yes, the farm foods here give us special magical powers to grow bigger than our opponents ;) and congrats on the 3rd place achievment.

We do wear red uniforms with long black pants on Saturday's. I think a few of our girls also wore red bandanas that day. It must have been 15 degrees cooler under that tree. We were amazed that there was a in-ground swimming pool in the front yard of the house across the street from the fields. Good luck for the rest of the season, maybe we will see you next year.
