The first pitch would be great--thanks! The step is unfortunate, but in the big picture, this is the best example of Abbott I recall seeing--and showing her updated pre-motion.
why isnt this an illegal pitch? she not driving of the pitcher plate, she takes a tiny forward hop and establishes a new point to drive which is not the pp. Help?
Just dont understand why they dont, our dds are taught sometimes unmercifully to keep that drive foot in contact the whole time while delivering a pitch. Seen other pitchers get away with it thru the years, umps not enforcing rec league and travel league. Get into a qualifier tourny though all bets off, opposing coaches peering like hawks to make sure its by the book. Seen many arguments, usually comes to an end when coach who has an issue pulls out the rule book with the bookmarks for easy access to show umps.
