S3...

Yes, Baltimore was wonderful. 8 hours on the team bus, slept, went to a snow covered field the next day that was saturated with rain. Standing water in outfield. Snow on places there wasn't standing water. So much mud a pig would live happily. 30 minutes later, we were back on the bus headed home Saturday morning for 8 more hours. The girls didn't even leave the bus it was so ugly. And, YES... Clearwater Florida will be nice. The team is doing well, 4-6 so far and playing some good ball. We're simply overmatched in some cases but our pitching is keeping us in every game. It must be the coaching!!!! ha ha

I guess I am using the layman definition of the word "fastball". No, it doesn't say
straight fastball' but, is there another kind? If someone says "my fastball has a drop to it" then, whether they realize it or not, they are throwing a dropball... they probably just don't realize how they're doing it. But my question remains, if you have a rise and a drop, why bother to even have a 'fastball'? Maybe I just don't get it.
