Was thinking of taking a junk bat of the same length and drop as what my DD is currently using and adding some weight to the bat, with something like duct tape or electrical tape. My thinking is to put tape at three points on the bat to ensure the balance is the same. Knob, middle, end.

With using tape, it is easily added or taken away. The bat will be used for tee work and softtoss.

Can anyone think of a negative that might change her swing, other than the obvious of having to much weight?

Trying to help her gain some strength and bat speed.

Thanks Amy, i had just found that link my self. I am going to try this work out with my DD and see how we fair.

I pulled the endcap out of a 18oz bat, we have the bat she is currently using, and the one that I added the weight to.

Will post details after a month of this work out.

I have been using big cats batting drill for about 4 months now, 4 times a week and I have found I am hitting the ball at least 15% further, its a great drill.
