Hawk mentioned a toe tap. If she wants to do something with her front foot before she strides forward you could try incorporating that, although at 9 I am not sure that is the best of ideas.
Agreed. I had to break that habit at 18...not easy to do.

Julray - I have seen many kids do it no stride, and it worked. What every way she does it I just want for her to be comfortable. One thing I have learned as a Dad trying to help aside from the coach is I remind myself to keep it simple!
I agree that toe tap, is a tough thing to do at 7 going on 8 next month. Do you think as Quincy mentioned that she is losing power doing this. I guess what she is doing now vs toe-tap
Do you think its a good game plan, to have her work on it- tee, soft toss until she gets it down before trying it in a game situation.
Yeah Teach in lessons and practice, in games just a key word or two but let them play. They have enough stuff in their heads in the batter's box already.

I thought you said earlier she was not having this problem off the tee? I think pattars plan of action makes sense. If she is not being affected of the tee, I would work on front toss until she gets her timing right. I'm not sure tee work is going to solve the timing issue she is seeing in her game swing? Maybe I misunderstood.
