What's interesting to me is that he gets started with load and leg left before the ball leaves the pitcher's hand even in this slow toss situation. This is a very important mechanic to learn and to teach and very difficult to change once a hitter gets in the habit of waiting to see the ball before making any 'move' -- it is the reason why fast pitching weeds out many hitters (and why for others fast pitching is no big deal).
