I look at this clip, and I can't help but think "take the knob to the ball" - LOL. Unfortunately, that clue often gets used with demonstration/instruction of pulling the hands across the chest, which is not a correct movement.

Another thing I see is a cue that I first heard from redhotcoach..."rear shoulder delivers the hands"

I think of "carve & fillet" direction first then whip.

rdbass,

So floating and creating good bat lag (not the lag position) is one in the same. So your post didn't confuse me. It actually helped.

I think the pitch is inside.

I think you might be right. Hard (for me) to tell from watching the ball, but you can see the catcher's glove and it looks like after contact he's pulling the glove to his right, which would be more toward the plate, suggesting an inside pitch.

From the description that RD posted about "float" I do not see any in the Correa clip no running start

So float and tipping the barrel are the same? Or one is a result of the other?

I have no idea but I say no. Shawn asked if Correa was more Floating/bat lag in his swing and if Miggy had more of a turn the barrel. In the description that RD posted about "float" it states that floating has an arc (running start) to it before the "go" portion of the swing. I do not see any arc or running start in the Correa clip before "go decision".
