The swing she has, not saying good or bad, just I teach totally different mechanics. So anything I say will be big changes.

All you can do is see how this works against live pitchers. Look for power and good ball flight, see if you are happy with it.

To much one legged ness. She resists with her bb while she fires her rear leg/hip. No balanced release of bb/a$$. She needs to allow for both legs to react after she releases her bb. Her rear leg/hip is the driver from the beginning while everything above is waiting for the rear leg to fire.

I am finding it challenging to explain or show how the bb/a$$ is "released"...or pointing out what the catalyst is for that to happen....thereby MAKING the rear leg /hip drive and TTB all reactions.

This is the trick, isn't it? Figuring out how to make all that reactionary to the release of bb/a$$ Is this something the hitter just needs to feel and figure out herself? How is that taught or instructed?

Thanks,

T

I don't know what her coaches are teaching, so maybe she is doing what they want. I would call her approach "unconventional."

One needs to take the feel out of the rear leg/hip up front. Stretch the bb/a$$ from the middle so when it's released there is a reactionary flow into the legs and hands at the same time... Not ground up but middle out up and down at the same time.

Or you could get together with Ray and he will show you.

I may do that...he sent me a note to see how we were doing with it all. Both kids schedule's are pretty heavy right now with school ball; but I will hopefully look him up soon. Thanks.

You don't have any old clips show the proper release of bb/a$4 do you?
