Balanced versus End Loaded

DD has always used a balanced bat. What's the story with end loaded? I assume they are for power hitters? I've seen the 2016 Demarini a couple of times out there, but I don't think they were used by power hitters.

So, when/if is the right time to switch if a switch should happen?

End loaded bats tend to be the preferred weapon of power hitters. The shifted weight gives the bat a heavier feel during the swing, and puts more mass directly behind the ball at impact. That said, there are plenty of home runs hit by girls using balanced bats. It really comes down to a matter of personal preference.

The 2016 Demarini bat lineup (CF8-series) included balanced, end-loaded, and handle-loaded (for lack of a better term) models. Same as the CF9-series this year.

My DD likes the DeMarini CFx Insane, slightly end loaded but still a drop 10. But like mentioned above, it's all about preference.
