My DD is 13 and swings last years rocket tech as well, 34/25 and the actual weight is 27.4 oz. Zepp 2 has her at peak speeds of 86 mph bat speed. New RT on the way and hoping its just as heavy lol. DD is 5"9" and 210lbs now. Hits bombs with it. She swung a -9 Ghost and it was still light. Been scoping out drop 8's now lol

Impressive power. Is that OKC at that USA Elite thing? I won’t pretend to know anything about hitting mechanics, but it appears her bat is farther behind her body than pictures I normally see. She’s obviously very talented and I mean no disrespect. That just sounds heavy for a kid no matter how big and strong. 86 mph bat speed sounds too high, but again my experiences are with pitching.

Yup down in OKC, she seems to get it around quite well, that was just a link I had lol, she loves right center. The mph came from the high school coach on the zepp. He has all the vids, I should ask to see them lol

I have seen kids that just have raw strength. I would never encourage a girl to use a sp bat, drop 8 or large drop 9 without making darn sure that's the bat they want. Because
too heavy is a terrible bat to hit with. But I also don't judge girls that I haven't seen. If a girl is legit swinging a 34/25 RT and handling it right, then if she is going to
composite, they 99% of the time, will go heavier because Andersons always run 2-3 ounces over sticker.

Also, just as too heavy of a bat is bad...too light of a bat is as well

Congrats on getting making it to OKC. It's the first all-star type event I've seen where it takes more than writing a check to get in. It looked like a tremendous opportunity.

DD really enjoyed it, Tryouts were great to see what each girl could do to get there, no guaranteed playing time... Great experience!!! Opening ceremonies were fantastic!!
