"No one on her team has a Vinci so she is unfamiliar with them"

Anna just started using a Heart of the Hide this past Fall, but from 1st year 12U to up until this past Fall that's one of the reason she's always loved her Vinci. For 12 & 14U she was the only girl who ever had one, for 16U there's 3 girls who use Vinci but I got them from Casey for those girls!

JAD, Anna just committed to a D2 school, they supply the bats but the girls use their own gloves, at least for now. Anna still has two more years of HS ball, so the glove thing could change? Anna said the HC said they may go with the Easton Ghost for the 2018 season.

FP26 - has your DD chosen a new glove yet and if so, how's it working out? There has been a lot of great info provided in this thread (and several others) going through the various options and philosophies about gloves.

Actually she has not decided yet. She wants to wait until she selects her college and then order one. Hopefully that decision will be coming within the next 2 or 3 months.

Bought my daughter a HOH Rawlings custom catcher's mitt for her graduation to match her college colors. It is absolutely gorgeous and built like a tank. Rawlings has a ton of options to choose from, I suggest talking to one of their reps to get advice on what to choose for her position.

Just wanted to provide an update. First of all, thank you to everyone that offered suggestions. I was kind of hoping she would choose to go with the Vinci option. But once DD has her heart and mind set on something, she can be quite stubborn. She must get that from her mom :) Anyway, she decided to go with a 44. Although I was not familiar with this brand until a few months ago, I am impressed with the quality. So far, so good.

Nice looking glove, can you post a picture of the palm - im not familiar with them :)

Not the best picture, but it is the best I have right now. I will take a better picture when DD gets home tonight. Practice followed by dinner with some teammates...

Since you went this route, did you guys ever look at Gloveworks? Congrats on the new glove!

No. I'm not familiar with Gloveworks. Sorry. Honestly I was a little nervous about 44 because I wasn't familiar with them either. But two of her travel ball teammates had recently purchased custom gloves from them, so I had an opportunity to look and feel them for myself. I was impressed with the quality, so I was fine with her making the purchase. Actually, it was a good way to spend some of this season's fantasy football winnings :)
