DD is now the starter

After getting minimal circle time on varsity so far this year, dd is now the starter. # 1 pitcher broke her finger yesterday. How quickly things can change, I told her this is her chance to prove what she can do!

As much as I hate the New England Patriots....This reminds me that Tom Brady was once the lonely back up. One injury changed everything!
This is her chance to shine... get your polish ready

Hopefully #1 pitcher recovers quicky and does not get her job back.

The same thing happened to Lou Gehrig. Went in to pinch hit and never came out of the lineup until he pulled himself out of the lineup 2130 games later because of the ALS he was suffering from.

HEY NOW...!! Actually good point about Brady. His is an excellent story of "stick-to-itiveness and believing in yourself regardless of your current circumstances. From HS thru College and then the NFL. In a combine if 350 players, he came in 350th.

Played in a tournament today and dd got the start against a very good team that were state champs last year and undefeated this year. Dd had some hits off her but was holding her own. 3rd inning, she had a walk and coach pulled her and put the 3rd pitcher in. The next 2 batters proceeded to hit homeruns. 6 runs later she finally got out of the inning. My dd was put back in for the 4th and got the next 3 batters out. I think she is beginning to earn some respect from the coach, I’m proud of her.
