Not here.
DFP hitting took a huge hit when FiveFrameSwing, rdbass, and redhotcoach all stopped posting as much. Redhotcoach is still around (talk to him every once in a while offline).

I too miss BoardMember, JJsqueeze, starsnuffer and javasource as regular contributors to the pitching forum.

There is still a lot of great regulars here.
Did I die and no one told me. I just 'dialed' back the passion a little bit. As long as DD is playing I'll keep posting but, in college it's year to year. All these incoming DFP players are making it tougher on her.

I wish OILF would return. Thought she had some good insights. Often disagreed, but she made me think about things more than most.

Screawball, she had a few names. :)

She wanted me to break my phone, read all her posts though.

Sorry to see rdbass died, rest in piece enjoyed your posts.

Curious if you can name one good insight OILF (aka Screwball) has made? Not trying to be funny, but I just can't think of one?.......

Sorry I stopped posting much. I have a terrible disease. It's called GOLF. From what I understand, there is no cure.

Well, I don't think many of us have true insights, such that no one else ever thought of it, but I appreciated that she challenged the notion that girls needed to be coached so differently than boys. And since she once was a girl, and I wasn't, I valued that opinion even more than if a former boy had said it. Probably helped that I generally agreed w/ the notion anyway.

But even when I thought she was wrong - ie, softball should be coached by women, since it's a women's sport - it helped me try to see things from the perspective of a former player and now a female coach who sees the game dominated by male coaches. I don't have to agree with someone's opinion for it to be valuable in making me think a little more about it and try to understand their perspective.

I'm not nominating her for an award. I'm just saying that it's good to have posters who go against the grain, who create a little friction. As long as they're not trolls, and I don't think she was.
