Didn't see anything on the search and i'm still fairly new to girl's softball, but what is the reason some states play high school ball in the fall and others in the spring? I always thought all softball was played in the fall until i started reading on DFP. I know baseball has always been a spring/summer sport so I would think having enough quality umpires to call the games was the biggest reason for softball and baseball to be played at different times of the year. My DD and i were discussing this and I figured you guys could give me a little insight. Thanks for any help.
