Which indoor pitching mat do you recommend? I would like the mat to have a power line and a pitching rubber attached to the mat. I would also like the mat to have some padding on the bottom side.

Tried doing a search on this topic but could not find anything with the search function. I am sure this topic has been discussed before.

This is what I am currently considering.

I use the Jennie Finch mat. Not because she endorsed it, but because the backing was designed for use on turf, which is what I have in the cages where I do lessons. It sticks better than the rubber backed mats, which means less (or no in some cases) having to straighten it back out again.

I've had two of them for a few years, doing lesson after lesson, and they've held up fine. One of them got rubbed out a bit, but that's because someone was using it when I wasn't there - without my permission - and damaged it. Must have had quite a heavy foot. The other one is fine.

The mat you linked is the same one I bought. The company is legit and the mat works just as advertised. We roll it up after each lesson and store it back in the garage. The padding underneath has a few cracks and shows some wear, but the top of the mat is still in perfect condition. We have used it twice a week for the last year on top of the sidewalk. It still functions the same as new.

I will say though that I wish the plate was glued about 6 " forward from where it is. My daugher does not like the unbalanced feel of half her foot on the turf and half off. We use an additional plate at the end that keeps her back foot level.

No when her toe is butted up to the backside of the pitching rubber, only the front half of her foot is on the turf, the back is on the concrete.
