I hate basketball!

Eric, sorry. The only worse thing that could have happened if if I were her basketball coach. I have sworn to never step on the sidelines again. I hate basketball. LOL Poor Maddie, we hope and pray that she heals quickly. Of course that won't be this weekend. Look at the positive and that she is going to get some rest while she heals up. Take care of the kid!

BB does take a high toll on those that play it but rewards them often. Any kid that has a lot of drive in them enjoys the action sports like BB and Dodgeball. (is dodgeball a sport?) I wonder what DDs decision will be re BB for her JR year.

I loathe basketball for softball players. Fingers are minor issues compared to when they start blowing out knees and losing 12 months instead of a few weeks. The number of girls I've seen lose softball opportunities in college because of knee injuries playing HS basketball is crazy.

Rice bucket and a clay ball. Squeeze the clay between her fingers to get the grip back. Also, while healing, speed drills with tennis balls is good; catch between index finger and thumb. With a sore ring finger, there is more incentive to get it right.

DD plays travel volleyball and softball. Only time was ever injured off the diamond was playing basketball at school, rolled ankle, and finger sprains. Had to have the take it easy at recess convo.

Bummer Eric! Mine is skateboards, wave boards and football on a daily basis. Everyday I pray she doesn't get injured, but what the heck. Kids gotta have fun right?
