Also following. I use an iPad for scoring and use GameChanger but would love to hear about iScore.

I prefer gamechanger but they are both great. We set up gamechanger to post to our facebook page and twitter so parents could get text alerts on our games and they really liked it. I'm sure Iscore can do the same. You need Ipad for either unless you want to try on a phone.

The only problems I see with them is that on hot days you really have to work to keep Ipad cool. I really wish they would put a mechanism in place so we could transfer our lineups to the other teams and vise versa. It wouldn't be very hard, but to date hasn't been done as far as I know.

You should certainly use one of them. This question is just like the which bat should dd use question. You should try out both to discover your own preference. Both have good and bad, easy and difficult. I personally prefer iscore. It's just easier to me, and it looks better, to me. I use my Samsung phone, and have tried both for extended periods of time. As I said, though, just like with bats, cars, or any other products, for every one person that says one is better, there will be 1 person that says the other is better. I know it's not what you were looking for, but you're going to get alot of opinions that in the end won't help in your decision until you try for yourself.

It can be done with iscore. the best of both is that parents unable to attend games can actually follow along pitch by pitch if the person scoring has internet connection. the graphics are crude, but it's a little bit like watching on tv. sort of.

Check to see if your league supports one or the other or both. I started with GameChanger and switched to iScore. Both were great, but it was easier for me to import schedules and rosters and upload the stats online with iScore. iScore has a few functions I really liked such as being able to create and email player or team stat reports. GameChanger may offer the same thing now. It was several years ago when I used it. Be prepared to run into some bugs, but both companies help lines were great. CanyonJoe is right about the heat. It was great for HS, but summertime was tricky to keep the iPad cool.

I've tried using a phone and it's just too small for my vision. Sun glare is manageble if you change the default screen view and turn brightness all the way up. The biggest issue I found with either one is you need to pay close attention to the game and prefereably sit alone. It's not easy fix mistakes on the fly.

You don't need an iPad for iScore. They have an android app as well. Game Changer has no plans for an android app. I asked them.

iScore is what we use... you absolutely need a tablet and you do need to pay attention..

I found iScore was easier to correct especially after a game. Also iScore allows you to import opponent teams from a number of orgs - including USSSA (which most teams locally are registered with) which means we have official rosters and players names and spellings. Gamechanger may have that now - it didn't before.

Both need a way to import lineups. It's tough at tournaments when you get the lineup 30 seconds before the game. It's not critical, but it would be very nice.
