My DD's TB career came to a close on Saturday at the USA Softball 18A Nationals. She had an amazing week, with a BA of .438, SLG of 2.125 and an OBP of .550 including 8 RBIS and 3 HRs in the tourney- two of which were back to back off of a very fast D1 signed pitcher (who's undefeated team went on to win the tournament) with one of DD's college coaches watching (his comment "I'm glad she's mine!"). DD's team finished 13th - not too shabby for a little team from Idaho.

DD's final summer ball stats were a .389 BA, 1.583 SLG and an OBP of .494, leading her team with 9 HRs and coming in second with 30 RBIs.

I have nothing but gratitude for all of the coaches, parents, players who have encouraged her (and even those that didn't, they just made her want it more), mentored her and taught her - you made her the player and person that she is today. And also thank you to all of you on this board who offered your guidance and advise to a softball mom and player that you didn't even know - the softball community is the greatest.

It has been amazing to watch her grow as a softball player, teammate and leader. She has a bright future not only as a college softball player, student and woman and I can't wait to watch!
