Those aren't the numbers to be competitive, I was as surprised as every one else actually, the talent I have seen from the top 05 teams and players this year blew me away. I am in So Cal, but I will say we played a team form GA and TX this year and they were very good, with pitchers who threw...
You dont have to throw that hard to be competitive in 10U at all, but the top teams we played against had at least one girl, in some instances 2 that were over 52, and yes there are still some good teams with pitchers who throw in the mid-40's, actually my team would rather face a faster...
At PGF this year in Huntington Beach there was a kid who hit 61 from Indiana she is on the on the TN Mojo team that won it all, a kid throwing over 53MPH is not unheard of in 10U out here. There were at least 10 kids at PGF over 52 this year in 10U, and yes my kid is a Jan 05 great softball...
Had to brag a bit, my girl and her team finished 2ND at TCS world Series in San Diego and finished 5th at PGF, she hit 2 over at TCS and one over at PGF. 12U here we come :)
At the 10U travel level, unless you are throwing 52-56 you will need to locate the ball, location location location and have an effective change up, even if you dont throw it for a strike all the time, just let the other team know you have one, and the need to look out for it and respect it...
An unexpected bunt is a great bunt, number 3 hitter hits a triple, clean up batter comes up, corners are playing back, she drops down a bunt, we score, win 1-0 and go to Championship game at TCS World Series.
These are the same post that were being made about Burfict and his dirty or hard play as a player in high school in Corona, sad to see he has not matured at all from then.
I feel your pain, My daughter plays for a organization that is Mizuno sponsored, We had just got a new CF 6 before she joined the team, and decided to sell it, but I will say the Nighthawk is a very good bat, I had my doubts at first, but it is a good bat. Usually when an organization is...
She has always played up, this is her first year staying in her age group, found a good group of girls her age to play with, physically there is no question she can play up, but still needs some work on staying calm and cool in the circle, so she is playing with her age group, it always helps...
Just wanted to know if there is anyone from Texas Intesity 10U on the board, we played you guys in a TCS championship in San Diego last weekend, wanted to know if anyone had the video from the go-pro behind the plate you could send me. THANKS
Thanks for the feedback everyone, I really liked what you said Corlay, I am the same way with my DD, yes I will say we haven't pitched in a few days we have to work today, but for the most part I let her dictate when we practice, honestly we work about on average two times a week on our own, but...
Just wanted everyone opinion on what they think is an acceptable amount of time a 10-11 year old girl should be pitching a week. Everyone hears the "you need to work 4 to 5 times a week", but at the same time there are those that say you need to give your arm time to rest and let little micro...
Hi everyone, I am looking into getting a new glove for my 12 year old, she says her old one is to flimsy and she hates it, she is a utility player and spends half of her time in the MIF and the other half in the OF, so I dont want to go out and buy two different gloves one for infield and one...
