Looking for help finding a pitching coach: S.Central Wis.

Inner Power Pitch is now Madison Fastpitch. Meghan is a Tincher Pitching instructor. Highly recommended, my daughter has made great strides since going to her. Where in Northern IL are you located?

    Transporting Bat

That's exactly what we do with two bats. No issues so far....

    Light headed

Was going to suggest the same thing. My DD had the same symptoms. It did end up being slight asthma. Doc gave her an inhaler to use before exercise and she's been fine. It lasts about 6 hours before she needs it again

Per NCAA Proposal No. 2016-38, the softball recruiting calendar will be...

I would say with 99.99% certainty that it was BC that made that post since he does have close ties with JMU and the Labor Day Showcase is(was) his event. He and GTQ have been on top of these changes since they came about. Also Conroy's OnDeck Banditfest camp in January is now being 'run' by...

    Alabama's Catcher

Were there runners on base? If so, that could be a play called to the defense

College Recruiting - Need Help Badly

You're far better off having her play on a 14U team. More coaches are looking at 14's than 18's in any of the showcases DD has been in.

    Cuts on fingers

Superglue in DD's bag at all times. She won't buy into soaking her fingers in pickle juice as some people swear by.

Senior Year Course Correction: Try to Find a Late D1 or go the Juco route?

Try Rock Valley College in Rockford, IL. They are a solid Juco that has won a couple national championships. Not sure what kind of pipeline they have though

    Thoughts on powerlifting

So, did you see any payoff? I'm guessing more than likely not. The girl should be doing squats instead of leg press since the quads, glutes, and core muscles are much more involved which would all translate more into her pitching. Leg press is a far easier movement to push a lot of weight.

Happy Days-Its Friday check in 9/30/16

PGF King of the Hill tourney. I think it's gonna be a wet one though...

    Logo Trademark

Technically, you do not have any rights to it. And, with date and time stamps on his files, he has proof of when he designed it especially if there was any email correspondence between the two of you as well. Whether you came up with it while sitting there telling him what you wanted doesn't...

    Thoughts on powerlifting

I was a competitive powerlifter for a long time and still train fairly heavy. Knock on wood have never been injured. BUT, when I started it was all form focused, not weight focused. The weight will increase, but you must have proper form down first. My DD does Olympic lifting for the speed...

Gotta Love Creativity -- New Stalling Tactic

First thing I thought of as I read through this thread.

When did your DD first throw 60 mph?

Not disputing that at all. Only disputing the fact that it was stated it's pretty much impossible to find 13 girls with those skills out of a pool of 12-15 million people. Still would like to hear criteria for the teams I mentioned earlier...

When did your DD first throw 60 mph?

Gotcha! I am definitely more of a taker on here, as can be seen by my join date to post count ratio. Just an average bucket dad here to gain all the knowledge I can for my DD.

When did your DD first throw 60 mph?

Not sure there was anywhere that I said I, or my kid, was special.....

When did your DD first throw 60 mph?

Not sure why that would surprise me, I expect there are many. One would have to be a complete idiot to think their kid is the only one that has a team of high level athletes capable of the criteria. There are a lot of DFP members and many high level teams across the country. Would only make...

When did your DD first throw 60 mph?

Lol, not really boasting. Just clarifying the caliber of players on the team and the level they compete at so the know it all's can maybe open their eyes that there is a different level of softball out there. Nothing more. Hell, if I was boasting I wouldn't admit in an earlier post that my DD...

When did your DD first throw 60 mph?

Sometimes saying you are a 'top national team' people tend to think you are boasting, and I didn't want to be viewed that way. DD's team has played all of those teams (winning and losing) and plays practice/round robin games with one of them on the regular. Saying they had a top 10 finish at...

When did your DD first throw 60 mph?

Call it what you will, no skin off my back. :) I wouldn't care if my DD didn't pitch 60 either. And why am I doing a disservice to younger players? It's not my organization, I don't make the rules or set the criteria. My DD plays there, I'm just a chauffer, travel agent, bucket dad, and an...
