Thanks all for the advice, insight, encouragement and wealth of wisdom. I appreciate you for taking the time to reply.
Her tryout is over, all went well and she shined a little brighter than the other kids there. We expect to have an official answer in a week or so, but the coach offered some...
Thanks for the response. Re-read my original post please, and I may have worded it poorly, but I said 8U upto 18U Elite. I can't fathom the thought of a 8U elite team myself.
The team fees per season were very reasonable, actually quite a bit lower than most of the other less organized teams...
I found a couple of pics of DD (The Beast). They are a couple of years old but give a rough idea of her size. In these pics, she is 6 years old and catching. The batter was 8. This was from her first 8U Babe Ruth State Tournament. You can add about 6 inches to her height and 25lbs now.

Thanks everyone for the advice and educated opinions. I talked to my DD last night again, at length this time, explaining the commitment and sacrifices the entire family would endure. She seems to understand and insists she is ready to work harder and develop her skills further. She has...
I expect her to potentially play up a level, so I had similar thoughts. And yeah, we follow College softball, DD's body fits the mold quite well. Her arm doesn't whatsoever though, at least at this point.
Thanks for the reply.

My DD is 8, and she has played 3 seasons of Rec Ball. She catches and plays 2B, bats extremely well for an 8 year old and has made the local all star team since she was 6. None of this is overly impressive in itself...
My DD is currently playing her third season of 8U Rec Ball as a 7 year old. Last season she had numerous doubles and triples but never finished the lap. After spending the past winter in the batting cage along with a lot of T drills, soft toss and a new Xeno, she crushed one last night...
