I have around 7-15 or so question quizzes of general softball knowledge and some situational questions. I like to hand them out for “homework” during the week. I’m looking for some new material and willing to share mine if anyone is interested.

Can’t remember if it was a GIF or just a video but someone posted an example of how the arm circle isn’t round as much as oblong on the backside. Had the pitch with a colored line for the ball path if I remember right. Anyone remember that?

Been asking my DD about why she always turns her hand on top of the ball from about 10 to 8 and then rescues it just in time to throw with some IR. She says, it hurts her shoulder to try and pull the ball all the way around. My question to those who would Know, could this be, her arm too...
We got rained out a lot but she got to pitch 119 innings had 182 Ks gave up 18 runs total but only 7 were earned runs and had a .4 era. She has come to be known for her rise this year.
Had to do it. DD has worked very hard in the offseason, working out and improving. Tonight her game went 12 innings before her team won 1-0. She had 20 Ks. She's pitched 57 varsity innings and had 97 Ks. There it's out of my system now 😋
How do you throw a rise on 3 different levels? She does it on occasion it but I don't think she has no idea how. We've tried, "aim lower" "back leg not front leg" and every other cue you can think of. I'm assuming it's release point but she struggles with releasing early and spinning it...
Any ideas, thoughts on stretching routines after games or the next day? I'm wondering if a good stretching routine after pitching 7 innings would be beneficial?
Much love to the folks at DFP, especially a few that has really helped shape her into something that resembles a pitcher. This is a progress/thank you post and video. You guys and gals rock!

Question, is it different than a curveball, in regard to mechanics and does she need to jump across the power line to throw it? Heres a link of her try at it. https://youtu.be/V-mChDrUlE8
The angle isn't great and I'm not sure how much break you can see but it did break some.
Nothing of real substance to post but just wanted to restate what many have already said on this site....never underestimate the value of a tarp from 15/20 ft. I'm even thinking about how we can have her do this as a warm up before high school games.
How do you know When they have tapped out in terms of speed? Been stuck for what seems forever and thinking she's maxed out. Any ideas on how to when the quest for speed is officially over?
I was wondering about the recommended settings for softball field purposes. It seems like I'm not getting good color or a wide shot, doesn't look like it's going to cover the whole field.
