    Friday Check In Time redux

    We're pretty stoked, about a week till the summer team starts trickling in from hs ball and practicing together for the memorial day kick off to our summer season. We are extremely excited since our team has 2 of the top 5 pitchers in the city (Cincinnati) and they're only Freshman.

    Just be careful. I paid 180.00 for a (1) used Easton Stealth off Ebay. It's already broke. This after about 3 months of hitting lessons and 1 tourney. could have used the 180 to put towards a new Stealth still in the wrapper for 600.00. At least then I would have around the price for a new Mako.

    They may have been as passionate, but there were far fewer then. I rode my bike to my games and alot of kids parents never came to the games.

    one of our pitchers is from KY. She's been pitching h.s. since 7th. Tell you what, she's a heck of a talent and the adversity of facing the older girls doesn't phase her one bit. As cool as the other side of the pillow (in honor of Stuart Scott; RIP)

    We are extremely happy with our team. My dd is playing the spring schedule with a different team because most of her's is playing h.s. ball. Worked out perfect (rarely does). The only 14 yr old on their team is the ss and she's playing with her hs so my dd is taking her place till she comes...

    In Ohio I see it pretty even between Demarini and Easton. Maybe slight edge to Demarini. I still buy Easton Stealth's for my dd. Usually pay a ridiculous amount for used on ebay. Then a couple weeks ago I found someone selling new, still in plastic. Had to take out a small loan for that one...

    How much do you spend on equipment, fees, exposure tournaments, and camp a year?

    I can tell you I had a softball only account that started with 5,000.00. I was drained with 2 weeks remaining. The last two were 2 hr drives and since the account was drained, we drove back and forth every night. Probably an additional 3-4 hundred (gas, food ect).
