Bump this up. Interested to know what happened?!
Hey,
I know it's been a while I took a little break from the boards. So turns out that "dream school" committed a catcher in her class years (yes years) ago. We found out through other college coaches. I just wish the coaches could take the tens seconds to tell the kid they weren't interested (my DD talked to the dream school coach at camp and expressed her interest in the school) but such is life. However, she has gotten a lot of interest in other mid major D1 schools...one is having a conference call with her travel coaches this week and want her to "get back on campus" so sounds promising! Fortunately this school was one she was interested even before she started pursuing them for softball so fingers crossed things work out!

I would not be too hard on the coach, a hundred things could have happen to that "catcher that committed years ago" and the coach did not want to put all his eggs in one basket in case either if that kid falls through so he left the door open but it does not sound like he ever over promised he just was kind of vague. Good Luck with this opportunity.
