How do you "break up" with a coach?

My goal is always to be entertaining. However, I was serious about this situation. The coach is hurt by DD's departure. I hoped that he wouldn't be. He has other players to play DD's positions.

How do you "break up" with a coach?

Thank you all. I told the coach thank you, we are pursuing other opportunities, and we wish your team well. His responses have been all over the map. I think my family made the right decision for DD.

How do you "break up" with a coach?

So it is time for DD to move on. She joined a team in the fall that is an ok team with nice girls and a nice coach. However, she has dreams of playing in college and her team doesn't okay big tournaments and doesn't get accepted into the big showcases. As a sophomore, she needs to be on a...

    Head first honor roll camps

Thanks. DD doesn't have a CaptainU site, but she is on NCSA. The email is very likely due to her NCSA page.

    Head first honor roll camps

Has anyone heard of Headfirst Honor Roll Camps? DD got an email from them that stated she had been identified as a potential recruit from one of the colleges attending. According to the website list of coaches attending, DD has been emailing several of them. The camp is less than a month away...

So tired of hearing "it's not fair" from other parents

Wow! I never intended for the thread to go this direction. However, things have gotten better. The starters have now dropped 2 games (by one run each game), and the parents are all settling in better together. Maybe (probably) I'm overly sensitive.

Talented players with character needed for travel to Spain

My DD went to Italy with America's Team summer 2014. It was a wonderful experience. She is going to the Dominican Republic in July 2015 with America's Team. I hope you are able to put a great team together for this priceless experience.

Each sport has it's own booster club at DD's school. Girls and boys basketball separate their booster club. Only gate fees are redistributed.

So tired of hearing "it's not fair" from other parents

DD has been on teams that didn't play the best 9. Sometimes she was on the field and sometimes she wasn't.

Our softball booster money stays with softball. The gate fees for the sports does go into a general sports account, administered by the athletic director. Baseball and softball do share locker rooms, batting caches, and concessions/score keeper buildings. In Georgia, baseball and softball are...

So tired of hearing "it's not fair" from other parents

I didn't intend to be confusing, though I'll admit I was after re-reading. TB doesn't have anything to do with it, just that most of the starters have played it. I mentioned it as part of the parent's complaint that her DD had more experience (measured in years of playing with no regard to...

So tired of hearing "it's not fair" from other parents

I believe the best 9 are on the field. I believe the best 9 were on the field last year, and my DD was on the bench last year. Seniority may get a spot on the varsity team for senior year (if they have played jv for 3 years), but doesn't get a spot on the field unless it is earned. Honestly...

So tired of hearing "it's not fair" from other parents

The JV and varsity teams are treated in a more similar manner this year than in previous years. There was a coach (JV coach) who wanted the teams treated very differently so that the JV players would be more motivated to get better. That particular coach is now a head coach at another school...

Correct. My point should have been that fair does not mean equal. The whiny parents are expecting "equal" by stating that things are not fair.

Also, the irony of me whining about people whining isn't lost on me.
