Coached a T-Ball Practice Yesterday

Why don't teams hustle?
Brilliant! Coaches aren't there to be our dd's friends. They are there to teach them the game of softball and a bit about the game of life. You have to follow through or nothing you say holds an validity.- Sweet Pitch 96

Pre-motions; The 'Fireman's Ladder'
My heavens! I'd think that with all the effort it would take to get good at such a convoluted pre-motion, the pitcher would be better off spending that time and effort mastering each of her pitches (both a full speed and an off speed version of each) and a killer change-up. JMO- Sweet Pitch 96

Sacoriliac Joint pain causes
Coach, my dd is going through the same thing. She changed pitching coaches in March, and we found the her weight was too far back on her drag foot, slowing her down. Age Cutoffs for Each Association
Nope, mine's a December b'day, and she has to play with kids that are sometimes 23 months older than she is. It was rough when she was little, but as she gets older, the difference is not as noticeable.- Sweet Pitch 96

Who should call the pitches the coach, dad, or catcher?????
I know it's hard, but the catcher needs to learn to call pitches. The question is, "When do you stop calling pitches?" Are you still going to call her pitches at 14U, H.S., 18U Gold? Age Cutoffs for Each Association
The way it is stated in the rule book, you're correct, but I think we mean the same thing. I didn't explain it very well. Just want to make sure it's clear. Whatever the player's age on December 31st determines her eligibility for the upcoming year. For example, we have a player born January...- Sweet Pitch 96

Killing the Clock
I can live with all of those as "part of the game", but tying shoe laces drives me crazy! Age Cutoffs for Each Association
I believe the cut-off dates are the same as ASA. I know they are the same for VTD. Whatever the child's age is on January 1st is the lowest age division in which she can play. For example, a girl born December of 1996 must play 14U because she was 13 on January 1st, thus making her inelegible...- Sweet Pitch 96

Tournament Weekend Observations:
