2-seam vs 4-seam fastball
it would have been nice to have a study focused on just softball. like most studies this one is flawed and you can make the data support most arguments. to assume a baseball and softball will react similar is not physically possible. diameter always has importance. i would have liked to see...- brethobson

Moving up from 10U to 12U
neither, from what i've seen with my pitchers and my daughter- they have an easier time with the 12" than the 11". much better control. the jump from 36' (for us) to 40 cut down on the high balls. my daughter was scared to the point of not wanting to pitch, she thought she would kill someone...- brethobson

Best way to get off first on a steal
one question the reason i like the rocker start (i never like the rocking part of it) is the front foot has secure footing. i have seen some girls slip with the front foot and when that happens you are out with even an average catcher.- brethobson

thanks, a little more ump ruled interference on SS and gave runner 3rd base, other team wanted home. i though this was ridiculous- if she catches it, which i thought she had a chance at, she actually would have had an unassisted double play as the runner at 1st was almost to 2nd. so, if the...- brethobson

interference question
our SS was 2 steps in front of the baseline, batter hit a short blooper 4 steps behind SS and towards 2nd. as the SS turns and steps (while looking at the ball the entire way), the runner on 2nd runs into her. they looked like they were hugging for what seemed hours. there were entangled for...- brethobson

Illegal Pitches hershey Pa
not an expert but i usually start with focusing on driving the pivot foot knee to the plant foot knee. rather than hitching and planting pivot foot before the stride foot lands. it is a lot easier to fix a leaper than a crowhopper.- brethobson
