Slapper attempting bunt with 2 strikes

If you are slapping at a ball then stop before you make contact so you can just tap it...then you aren't slapping with a bunt
result. You stopped the swing so you are now bunting :)

Wish my dd had the talent to do this - but when she half swings and makes contact the ball is definitely not dying like a bunt - it is going to the 5/6 hole, especially with today’s bats. That is the preferred result of a soft slap and where the hitter typically directs the ball when she doesn’t fully swing through.

I’ve seen girls full out swing and the ball will die just in front of the plate. The “swunt.” Not the planned result but it just happens sometimes. Should they be called out after 2 strikes? 😁
